Hearing this brings back so many memories. My Mother, Veneta Hammond was born & raised in Elk Mills, in the long yellow brick row until her father, Sam Hammond. built a house on the left side of the street, near the, what was the RLDS Church. My Grandfather retired from the Baldwin MFG Co after 40 years. My Mother & Father, J. Stanley Bouchelle, were married at the home of the church Paster right past the Mill parking lot. My Father was a farmer from Cecilton on the Knights Island farm, where we lived when I was born in 1934. Thanks for the memories.
