George Reynolds Reflects on Passage of 100 Years

As George Reynolds prepares to turn 100 years old in September 2022, he discussed growing up in Cecil County on a farm, his life, and the passage of the twentieth century in this interview/ Before World War II he worked on the Broadland Farm for Hoagland Gates. The interview took place on March 31, 2022. This is part one of a two-part series.

  1. Hearing this brings back so many memories. My Mother, Veneta Hammond was born & raised in Elk Mills, in the long yellow brick row until her father, Sam Hammond. built a house on the left side of the street, near the, what was the RLDS Church. My Grandfather retired from the Baldwin MFG Co after 40 years. My Mother & Father, J. Stanley Bouchelle, were married at the home of the church Paster right past the Mill parking lot. My Father was a farmer from Cecilton on the Knights Island farm, where we lived when I was born in 1934. Thanks for the memories.
