Gilpin’s Falls Covered Bridge Dedication Slide Show

On June 24, 2010, Gilpin’s Falls Covered Bridge was dedicated. The County Dept. of Public works took photos of the ceremony and they’ve shared them with us.  So we’ve built a short slide show of the dedication, which we though readers might enjoy.  For the rest of the story, see the links below.

    Good to see the pictures. Earl has worked tirelessly to see this project come to fruition. All was possible through the support of fellow Cecil Countians.

    Sara:

    If Earl hadn’t worked on that project, the bridge would’ve been lost. There were times I thought he’d never be able to overcome obstacles, but he went at it carefully and steadily and pulled it out. That bridge will now survive for another century, thanks to his lead on this preservation effort.
