June Meeting of Elkton’s Historic and Architectural Review Board Cancelled

Posted on June 14, 2012 by admin

The Historic and Architectural Review Committee meeting scheduled for Wednesday, June 27, 2012 has been cancelled due to a lack of a quorum.  The meeting will be rescheduled for early July, the Town of Elkton announced.  We’ll update readers once a new date is announced.

A non-profit affordable housing group was on the agenda to discuss plans for the old 1870s Cecil County Jail.  Click here for more information on that project.

Hello again, how can we write or contact someone to ask why
they won’t turn the old jail into a museum.

Charlie, I got an email from the town this afternoon. The meeting has been rescheduled for July 15th and I’ll put up a post on that sometime over the weekend. At that point, readers will have a good idea as to what the developers plans are for the facility as I’ll post something on the meeting. Wouldn’t hurt, though, to call the county commissioners as they’re the owner and let them know what you think. Thanks for your intersted in the an old Elkton historic building. I’ll keep everyone informed as things progress.
