Around 4 p.m. this afternoon, as the National Weather Service issued severe weather warnings for Cecil County, the sky quickly darkened over Chesapeake City. By all appearances mother nature was brewing up an intense line of thunderstorms for Cecil County and we were in for a dark and stormy night. But Cecil appears to have escaped the worst of the pounding and the storm brought badly needed rain.
